About

Meet Zac, a multifaceted music enthusiast who wears the hats of audio engineer, music producer, and musician.

Zac grew up in a household where music was more than just a backdrop; it was the heartbeat of the home. With melody and rhythm as his daily companions, his journey into the world of sound was inevitable.

As a kid, Zac received ‘LA Woman’ by the Doors on vinyl as a gift from his parents. Little did he know that this album would be the spark that ignited his passion for music. The raw, gritty, and soulful sounds were a revelation and a prompt to pick up a guitar, forever changing the course of his life.

Zac’s journey in music wasn’t limited to the control room. He’s been the frontman, songwriter, and guitarist in various bands, and these experiences have given him a unique perspective on music. He knows what it’s like to create and perform, and this insight shines through in his production work.

Having made his way to Melbourne, Zac has worked with a diverse range of bands, spanning numerous genres. From rock to country, indie to metal, he’s been there and loved every moment. His versatility is a testament to his passion for music in all forms.

After working out of many studios across Melbourne, Zac has made himself at home at The Aviary. He’s collaborated with artists like Kim Churchill, Sweet Talk, Felix Meredith and numerous others. His projects cover a diverse range, including albums, Singles and live videos working in close collaboration with The Aviary Film Division.

Zac’s philosophy is simple: make music that he would want to listen to himself. This approach is the driving force behind his work as an audio engineer and producer. It’s not just about recording sounds; it’s about creating emotional and memorable experiences for both artist and audience.

In the world of music, Zac believes that the possibilities are endless. Whether you’re a solo artist, a band on the rise or anyone in between, he’s your partner in transforming your vision into a reality. Together you’ll create sounds that are uniquely you. Working on your music is a privilege and one not to be taken lightly.
